Happy Financial Aid Day!
Hello WASFAA Colleagues,This holiday may pass unnoticed for many of us, as lately, it feels like we’ve lost track of the days. The weeks have blurred together—Mondays feel like Fridays and vice versa. Every minute of our workday has been consumed with processing, disbursing, packaging, counseling, responding to emails, problem-solving, and constantly addressing one issue after another.
That said, now more than ever, we owe it to ourselves and our teams to pause for a moment. Financial aid professionals across the country—our unsung heroes—have been working tirelessly, day and night, to bring some semblance of normalcy back after the rollout of the new FAFSA, all while helping our students achieve their dreams.
This is a call to all campus leaders and financial aid office partners to take a moment to recognize and celebrate the incredible contributions your staff have made over the past few months to ensure aid is disbursed to students. A little recognition can go a long way.
With October 16th just around the corner, NASFAA has shared some wonderful ideas on how we can honor this special day. Let's come together and celebrate the incredible work of our teams!
