WASFAA Scholarship Application

WASFAA is pleased to offer to our membership scholarships. Each scholarship provides a free registration.  Scholarship winners are responsible for current WASFAA membership dues.

Each scholarship recipient is responsible for writing an article for the WASFAA Newsletter (i.e., their experience at the event, benefits of being a WASFAA Scholarship recipient, etc.). The article must be submitted to the Awards and Scholarship Chairperson within 10 calendar days of the close of the event. Once submitted the scholarship will be processed.

The deadline for applying is 60 days prior to the start of the event.

Ethnic Diversity Scholarships
 CLOSED - Ethnic Diversity EDAC Annual Conference Scholarship
April 9-11, 2017 Seattle, WA
Amount: Registration fees, transportation, and hotel accommodations will be paid. Membership fee will be the responsibility of the scholarship recipient.
Timeline: March 3 - conference scholarship awardees notified; February 26 - deadline for scholarship applications to be submitted
Purpose: To provide access to attend the WASFAA Annual Conference for expanded training opportunities beyond those offered at state conferences.


 CLOSED - Sister Dale Brown Summer Institute Ethnic Diversity (EDAC) Scholarships
June 5-9, 2017 at the University of Nevada, Reno

Amount: To be determined
Timeline:Applications open until April 5, 2017
Purpose: To provide access to attend and participate in hands-on Financial Aid 101 training opportunities beyond those at the state conferences.


 CLOSED - Jerry R. Sims Leadership & Management Institute
Nov 7-9 Benson Hotel, Portland OR
Amount:To be determined.
Timeline: Application closes September 22, 2017
Purpose: To promote attendance and regional representation of members through out WASFAA’s 8 states for management training opportunities beyond those offered at state conferences.
